800 gr of neck of pork
130 gr of butter
pinch ofsalt, freshly ground pepper
pinch offresh ginger to taste
pinch offresh thyme


  • Slice the neck of pork to the weight you desire. Allow to come to room temperature and then grill on a hot grill at 180°C on each side for approx. 4 minutes.
  • Take the meat off the grill, salt and pepper. Place softened butter in a bowl, add finely grated clean ginger, chopped fresh thyme, salt, freshly ground pepper and mix. Spread this seasoned butter on to the neck of pork steak.
  • Serve with grilled vegetables or with mashed potatoes, grilled mushrooms
